QHi. I just received my Alpha Lipoic Acid powder in the mail. My understanding is that it needs to be dissolved in either ethanol or a glycol. Is that correct? If I want to make a 5% ALA cream, what amount of ALA powder do I use, and how much ethanol do I use to dissolve it? Approximately how long will it take to dissolve? After it is dissolved, can I then just mix it in to my base cream?

Yes, the Alpha Lipoic Acid powder will need to be dissolved before use. It is alcohol soluble.

1g is entirely soluble in 2ml of alcohol.
